A Brief Description of the Figure from Quantum Organizations
Figure 5.44 displays the intricate thread that is woven when explicit attention is given to all horizontal and vertical task flows -- by describing, controlling, and improving all business processes and cross-business processes in a strategic business unit. This thread is considerably strengthened when SBU members also describe, control, and improve their learning processes. In fact, SBU members can speed up the rate at which they gradually and radically improve their business processes -- in order to delight their customers and other key stakeholders. And by capturing what they learned, they do not have to reinvent the wheel every time they experience a similar problem or process. They can also share this knowledge with other SBUs.
